It is a matter of immense pride for our college to have introduced two new courses of B.Voc – Web Designing and Development (IT) and ‘Fashion Designing and Product Knowledge under the UGC’s Skill Best Education scheme through the ‘National Skill Qualification Framework’ (NSFQ).
Situated in the heart of Jalandhar City, Prem Chand Markanda S.D. College for Women is a major attraction for girl students. The college building is at a stone's throw from Central Town, Mandi Fenton Ganj and Gobindgarh. It is at a distance of about a furlong from Jalandhar Railway Station. It is also within easy reach of the girls of the city and the atmosphere is calm and serene. I feel proud to be a part of PCM Sd College. I have done my graduation from here. The teachers of the college are always there to help the students to improve academic skills and achieve high targets. Presently I am serving as assisitent professor in history in my alma matar PCM SD College , which had been my dream. I am greatful to my alama matar and teachers for shaping my destiny.
I did my B.Sc(Eco) From PCMSD College, Jalandhar in Session 2002-05. I can proudly say whatever I have achieved so far or what I am today is because of the teaching and training I got from the college. The Mathematics department lead by Mrs Neera Seth at that time did a very commendable job.in making the future of the aspirants. When I follow up today with the mentors of the department they still offer their valuable advice. All I can say is that the faculty of the Mathematics Department have always been source of inspiration for the aspirants like me who aim to achieve something in life. I would like to congratulate whole of the PCMSD Faculty for doing such a wonderful job of enlightening students’ lives. Hope it continues to do the same in future.
n one year, we have achieved many results, not only in Australia but worldwide. I have given online classes in countries like Indonesia, India and almost all major cities of Australia like Perth, Brisbane, Sydney. In my centre, we focus only on achieving results by modifying the entire way of their performance in IELTS/PTE. We also give coaching of the fully computerised new exam PTE, in which our students were able to achieve 90/90 in the exam. I owe this success to the teachers of PCMSD College, specially Mrs Neera Seth and Mrs Ujla joshi. Their teaching has not only helped us in the academics, but has also motivated us to work hard and achieve the targets in life. I will always be thankful to my teachers for the unconditional love and guidance they have always given to me.
I feel so blessed that I was a part of this college. My study from this college had not only helped me in living my life independently but also helped in understanding true value of life. i would like to encourage everyone to be independent and confident in their lives.
I feel highly privileged to be part of this esteemed institution which has developed moral, ethical, cultural and social values to be the part of this society. The confidence and determination to do something is blessed by my helpful teachers to attain high heights in life.
I am SIMMI CHAWLA working as LECTURER (MATHEMATICS) in GOVT. GIRLS SEC.SCHOOL BHARGO CAMP JALANDHAR. I secured 885/1000 marks in M.Sc.(Mathematics) securing 1st position (GOLD MEDALIST) in GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY. I secured the second highest score till now in M.sc mathematics. Earlier I secured, 4th position in B.A. Securing 507/600 in Mathematics in three year degree course & 98/100 (Mathematics) marks in 12th. It was really my pleasure and luck that I did GRADUATION from PCMSD College Jalandhar. I was able to score such a high score under the able guidance of all the hardworking and able faculties of maths department. They triggered my quest n thirst for in depth knowledge of important concepts. So it was a dream for me that I have realized there getting education from torch bearers there. I thank them all from the core of my heart. I wish them for all future endeavours.
University medal for standing first in M.Sc. (Mathematics). State Merit Scholarship and University Merit Scholarship in B.A. & M.Sc. respectively. RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS - 50 research papers have been published in national and international journals.
I am Kavita Joshi working in ANZ ( Australia and NewZealand) bank as a customer Service Rep in Melbourne,Australia. My educational qualifications are as below: B.Sc (Economics) -PCMSD College stood 3rd in UniversityM.SC (Maths) - Lyallpur Khalsa College stood 4th in University Following are my work experiences in India: Maths Lecturer in PCMSD College- Served for a year. Maths Lecturer in Govt. School- served for 2 years before migrated to Australia. As mentioned above, I have studied and later got chance to serve in my prestigious PCMSD college for women. This is the college which given me vision and where my career took shape. What ever I have achieved so far in my life as a career orientated person and as a working mum is only because of the strong base given by this college faculty. Specially, the Mathematics department I am really thankful for making me multitasking and accurate in problem solving which immensely helping me in my current job. I must say the staff in this college is very dedicated and organized.While serving there as a Maths Lecturer helped me to gain the strong work ethics which helped me in all of my jobs so far. I realized the amount of effort goes in delivering a single lecture in a classroom and making sure all the students getting along with it. This was only possible because of one and only person the head of our Maths Department Madam Mrs. Neera Seth. Hats off the this so dedicated and inspirational teacher who took this department to all together different level.I can't express my gratitude as a student of this college.
