Prem Chand Markanda S.D. College for Women, today, a premier institution re-accredited with Grade ‘A+’ by NAAC, was founded on 23rd August, 1973. It has steadily evolved into a multi faculty post graduate institution. The great philanthropists and educationists Pandit Prem Chand Markanda, Pandit Dharam Pal Dada, Seth Rup Chand Budhia, Lal Shiv Nath Khanna laid the foundation of this college which made rapid progress and developed into a big educational centre of higher learning in a short span of time.
