NCC Cadets Under Officers Amandeep and Khushboo Sharma have been awarded ‘Cadet Welfare Scholarship’ for excellence in academics as well as in NCC activities. The cadets have received Rs. 6000 each from the Cadet Welfare Society. The selection of the cadets have been made by the Chandigarh Directorate out of applications received from NCC Cadets of four states viz. Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Lieutenant Priya Mahajan, Associate NCC Officer contended that only six cadets of Jalandhar Group were selected out of which three cadets were from 2 Punjab Girls Batallion. Commanding Officer of the 2^nd Punjab Girls Battalion, Colonel Jasbir Singh and Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Arora congratulated the cadets for their achievement, furthermore, reiterated that a career in the Armed forces could be opted for.
