A lecture on Swami Vivekanada’s Birth Anniversary was organized at our college by Swami Vivekananda Studies Centre established under the Epoch- Making Scheme of Social Thinkers by the UGC. The purpose of the lecture was to memorialize the contribution of Swami Ji, one of the most renowned philosophers. Shri Atul Thakur, an active social worker from ‘Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad’ was the Key Speaker. He spoke as to how the ideas propounded by the great thinker could be put to use even in the contemporary times by the youth of our nation and at the same time enlightened the students on Women Empowerment, Nationalism and Development. Dinesh Verma and Arjun Trehan also shared their views on the same. It was indeed a worthwhile session for the curious students. The guests received a floral welcome in the hands of Prof. Tripta Handa, Coordinator of Swami Vivekananda Studies Centre. Dr. Sunita Sharma, Dr. Renu Bala, Dr. Surinder Saini, Dr. Neelam Gupta, Dr. Indu Tyagi and Mrs. Sunita Bhalla also witnessed the occasion.
